Brady Hoke hired current Baltimore Ravens Defensive Coordinator Greg Mattison to take the same position at Michigan.

That is pretty big time for Michigan imo.

It's a shame that Rich Rod couldn't have done this, then they could have something serious brewing...

Mattison was a great coach at UF before the NFL. He's going to do really well at Michigan.

Yes, but they wouldn't have gotten him with Rich IMO.

It sounds all great to imagine and everything, but Mattinson stated his number one reason for coming back to michigan was because of Hoke.

I feel bad for RR bc offense wasn't the problem and that's his specialty. I really think that they should have kept RR then brought in this dc. But I am sure it wasn't as clear cut as that. You cant go 6-18 in your first three years at Mich, get arse-raped in your only bowl game, and expect to keep your job.

I would look for Michigan to upset Ohio State next year but they have ZERO talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Either way, this makes them a top 25 team imo with Denard staying.

Michigan is going to have the heaviest coaching staff in the country.

Hoke, Borges, and Mattison -- Michigan better load up the snack room.

Seriously, though, he is a solid hire. I wasn't really impressed with their hires until Mattison.

I like that.

I dont follow NFL. So this guy is solid and should do us some good? Hope we can finish ranked this year.
