Lawyers and juries have ruined this country. In a just world she could sue Sherrone because he threatened her with the knife.
But she was an adult and made her choice to sleep with a married man. She could have left on her own free will at any point. Why should Michigan have to pay millions to her?
In fact, she should pay Sherrone's wife and kids millions.
Her direct boss was fricking her.
And by all accounts so far, they knew for a while.

she should get half of the remaining guaranteed monies that michigan no longer has to pay moore now. Michigan shouldn't come out of this winning not having to pay the scumbag when they hired the scumbag and covered it up.

BS. He was her boss. Hopefully, no one ever puts your daughter in a similar situation.

You might have a point if he had not reportedly fired her when she broke it off, then threatened her after she rightly reported him to his bosses.

According to reports, she left the relationship, and he fired her for it.

Because they put her in the employ of a sexual predator? People like Sherrone are why so many are hesitant to have any conversations with female coworkers outside of the basic required work interactions.

Based on what? She made no promises or has any contractual obligations to his wife; he does. You come across as a miserable human being.

So if the boss tells the employee to sleep with him and she'll get a raise, or don't sleep with him and she gets fired, or she just up and quits when he proposes, she's not entitled to anything for the behavior of the boss ruining her employment situation and possibly her reputation?
She could have said no. Then brought it up to the proper authorities if she was fired. Once again, go after Sherrone Moore. I completely understand that in 2025 the university is going to get sued. But in a just world they wouldn’t (unless they were involved in trying to hush an unwilling participant). This woman was very willing. If her reputation is ruined, it’s 100% her fault.

She could have turned away his advances.
Nancy Reagan said it best, “just say no”.
I’m not defending Sherrone Moore, he’s getting what he deserves. But little miss innocent ain’t so innocent.

It depends on if she’s pregnant or not

If the university investigated this in the summer and she denied any relationship at that time I would think the university would be covered.

And according to FOX News, she was also fired by Moore,
Can you link this? I think you are misreading, and Moore was fired. I’m not seeing anything that she was fired, unless I’m missing it.
But Moore would have to be an absolute idiot to fire his side piece and not transfer her somewhere else

How do you know the woman was willing and not scared to lose her job?
ETA: In a just world, situations like this would never arise.

Ummm..i think if you're a young female and come to the realization that you might be dealing with a crazy dude that has threatened her with violence then I think that might possibly qualify as being forced.
Im not taking away from her culpability, she obviously opened to the door or allowed it to be open to the overall affair.

I think 7 million is a good over-under

In a truly just society, she wouldn't get a dime.
