There you guys go with your delusions.

You can't name 3 candidates that had substantiated offers

Miles, Peterson, Patterson, Briles. Dont pretend all four of those, plus probably Gundy and Franklin didnt say thanks but no thanks after receiving some level of inquiry from Arkansas.

Don't pretend that you know definitively one way or the other. You don't know, which is why you're delusional along with the rest of your fanbase.

And why wouldn't it be? Our AD is the most secretive son-of-a-bitch EVER. There are NO leaks anymore. Broyles? Leaky as hell. Long? There's a reason there wasn't a peep about Bielema until the day he was announced. The names reported were stupid/shitty Arkansas media members throwing out names and running with assumptions.

But whatever. Believe what you want to believe. Romney's going to win!

The lunacy in this thread comes from Arky fans thinking BB is a better or more accomplished coach than Les. period.

As evidenced by the fact that you keep re-framing your argument to fit your agenda, I'd say no - there's plenty of lunacy coming from your side.

I don't know what everyone else is saying (outside of the obvious troll attempts). But I'm saying, and anyone with a pulse would agree, that Bielema's resume RIGHT NOW is better than Les Miles' was when he came to LSU.

Les Miles prior to LSU:
28-21 overall record
16-16 in conference
Bowl record of 1-3

Bret Bielema prior to Arkansas:
68-24 overall record (that's only 3 more losses but 40 more wins)
37-19 in conference
Bowl record of 2-4 (same percentage as Miles)

Those are facts. Forget all of your hyperbole. Forget who has a better resume NOW because it's irrelevant. Miles' resume prior to LSU pales in comparison to Bielema's prior to Arkansas. It's not even remotely close.

Don't know if he was or wasn't but he sure fits the profile of what was stated that we'd be looking for better than the rest of them.

Facts are, Miles parlayed his friendship with our AD into a raise and extension. Tenner contacted BB on Sunday and Monday, We set up to meet with him Monday. Deal was agreed to and signed on Tue.

All of the rumoring out there happened before, I'll repeat before the season ended, JL stated himself that he would not name a coach until a certain timeframe, and the coach was hired exactly in the period he said it would.

If your name isn't Jeff Long, you don't know what really happened. That's the only logical conclusion to be made. The rest is just the LSUsual scared, fraidy cat deflecting and bullying.

Obvious troll is obvious.

I don't know what the others are saying. I'm simply saying that when they both joined their respective schools, which is all that is relevant to my argument as to who had proven more at the time of their hiring, Bielema's unquestionably got a better resume.

Your response to that argument was, "Miles basically created the program at OSU, Alvarez created the program at Wisky for BB. BB has essentially rode coattails (you know, the thing dumbasses love to claim miles did)."

That's line of thinking flies directly in the face of this next statement, "Arky fans are the kings of coming up with some "disadvantage" to propel themselves or their guy into the top echelon of whatever the discussion is, regardless of results. I consider them the affirmative action babies of the little 8."

You're making excuses for Miles' average performance at OSU while lambasting Arkansas fans for being proud of a VASTLY superior resume from Bielema. Apples to apples, they're not even comparable at the time of each hiring.

If the question was, "Who's accomplished more in his career?" The answer is obviously Miles, as I've stated. But that's not the argument I'M making.

It's completely relevant because the hiring is taking place in 2012, not 2005.

Was Bielema even a head coach in 2005?
