Winning the B1G three times in a row with the comparative recruiting disadvantages that Wisconsin has is huge.
Arky fans are the kings of coming up with some "disadvantage" to propel themselves or their guy into the top echelon of whatever the discussion is, regardless of results. I consider them the affirmative action babies of the little 8.
Miles has a national championship ring and a 2nd title game appearance, Bilema has three losses in the rose bowl. There is no comparison, except for that which takes place in the feeble minds of hog fans.

Long didnt do shite. This was all Miles agent's doing.
Ark never had a chance with Miles, they knew it and Miles was never leaving. All you had was some informal discussion that the Miles camp made money from.

and how many years of head coaching experience do either of them have? what's the age difference? etc etc etc
this is an idiotic discussion from both sides at this point.
you and i both know as much as the paint on my wall of how well bb will do as the head coach of the hogs.

and yet hog fans continue to claim BB as the superior coach to miles, even though miles is more accomplished. its cute, really.

I love these piggy fans applying BB's success at Wisconsin to automatic success at Arky...this is gonna be epic to watch when they meltdown and start hating BB after year 2. I mean...Arky could have won the Big 10 this year...what does that say about the Big 10?

Another thing Hog fans gloss over when bringing up the 3 rose bowls are
a) the state of the B1G during that time frame
and
b) the QB situation at Wisky during that time frame.
Wisky had a senior QB, then Russell Wilson, and once those two left they had an 8-5 season. Lets perhaps NOT brag about the rose bowl when it comes with 5 losses.

miles is a good coach and more accomplished, but we'll see who's the better coach on down the road. for all we know malzahn
might turn out to be better than saban.
i don't think it's really fair to compare the two (bb and miles) at this point- it's like comparing miles when he was at osu to miles at lsu.

They lost 5 games by a combined 19 points.
He was 1 hailmary away from playing for the championship last year.

Les took a team undefeated in regulation in the regular season - twice.

Les' team was IN the championship (allegedly)

not as LEGIT as miles at this point

So wins are wins, losses are losses. Who cares about anyone's resources inherent in their position, then?

Larry Kehres has head coaching record of 331-24. He has 10 division 3 championships. 9x D3 coach of the year. There's no comparison. Kehres is a much better head coach then Les Miles.

Obviously not.
But his resume is more impressive than Miles' was when he was hired at LSU.

Miles basically created the program at OSU, Alvarez created the program at Wisky for BB. BB has essentially rode coattails (you know, the thing dumbasses love to claim miles did)
ya'll keep it up. really helping your case

trying to compare a pair of BCS schools to a BCS school vs D3 school

Woah, woah, woah. Now whose making excuses? I thought wins were wins and losses were losses? Are you telling me there are extenuating circumstances that make every job unique? Holy shite!

I'm pointing out the lunacy of your comment. Miles has done great. No one's disputing that (other than countless LSU fans 2 years ago). You're saying that Miles is better because of his resume. His resume that he built at LSU. LSU is a substantially better job than Wisconsin and you know it. Geography alone makes it 100000x's easier to recruit there as long as your coach isn't a moron.
Basically, don't be a simpleton. You're pounding your chest because you're the NY Yankees whereas Bielema's managed to go to the playoffs with the KC Royals. Resources. Coaches are limited by resources and their own abilities. If you, truly, feel Bielema's resources at Wisconsin are comparable to Miles' at LSU...well, I'd say good luck working the drive thru.

There you guys go with your delusions.
You can't name 3 candidates that had substantiated offers. The only information out there was rumor and internet/twitter bullshite flamed by morose media fanning flames to get hits and page views.
You guys flipped your shite on even the remote possibility of Les leaving for Arkansas, because deep down you know LM actually would leave for Arkansas, Alabama, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Miami, FSU, Eastern Michigan, Dayton, Ball St., Indiana St., WI-Whitewater, Mt. Union, etc. you get the point. Les honestly, really doesn't like you guys that much. Just happens LSU is the one dumb enough to pay him the most.

The lunacy in this thread comes from Arky fans thinking BB is a better or more accomplished coach than Les. period.
