I am starting to see individual lay-offs here around Lafayette. Many in the service companies and some in the production side of things. I think it's going to get much worse before it gets better.

When I was young, 8 or 9, I would listen to one scream down on the Red River in Little River county. I didn't see my first one until over 10 years later when a black phase cougar was killed by a guy hunting deer over dogs. I saw another one about 15 years later on the edge of a pasture where I was deer hunting. I was able to watch that one for several minutes.
There is no mistaking one when you see it. Absolutely gorgeous animals! I remember a number of years ago that the Wildlife folks paid over a hundred grand for a study of whether there were any lions that actually lived in the state. For their $100,000.00 the answer was "no". Wish they'd have asked me and gone ahead and given me the money, lol. I already knew the true answer to that question.

It'll be ok. One of these days, Les will learn how to actually get something out of the nationally ranked QB's he keeps signing!
LOL. It does! All that vinegar in the sauce and don't even start to understand the importance of cole slaw to go with the bbq.
yeah who gives a shite, as long as Smith stays I don't care.
This ^.

Not buyin any Natty bs for the Ags. DC's have a notoriously difficult time doin their job when paired with coaches that run the type offense u have.
We'll see, but not buyin at all.

I was lucky enough to land a seat in one of the suites. With the parking pass, I had to walk all of 100 yds to get to my gate. That was sweet.
The suite was occupied by about 18 whorn fans and 5 of us Hog fans. They were fairly nice to me and mostly spoke of how bad the whorns were. So that wasn't too bad.
I thought that not opening the parking lots until 4 was stupid and not opening the gates for the stadium any earlier was ridiculous.
I lived in San Antonio for a cpl of years and already knew that tx bbq sucked. Really anything west of AR, as far as bbq is concerned, just isn't that good. The tex-mex stuff around Houston is great tho.
I had a really great time whipping the whorns like yard dogs, so all in all, it was a great experience.

I don't know anything about this stadium, but I managed to pick up a ticket on the 400 level. Looks to be around the 20 yd line or so. Will that have a pretty good view?
Lived in a frat house, with the exception of one summer session in Yocum (I think. Been too long ago)

8-4 with a couple of shockers. And then a win in whatever bowl.

Does anyone remember "The Last Great American Hotdog Stand" just off Dixon? Loved eating there back in the '70's.

Ginger-back. Call her Gin or Ginger.
Speaking of dogs, I am trying to find someone that would be traveling from s. Louisiana to Fayetteville to deliver a black Lab to one of the players for me. I just don't have the time to make the trip but am willing to give him the dog.

Probably not. Hope not.
How many 2nd chances would that be? I'm sure he's talking about DGB & OK. DGB got several "2nd chances" @ Mizzou.

The last time I went camping, and I mean the last time, was about 25 years ago in the Ouachita's near Mena. It was the opening of turkey season and I had talked the ex into coming with me, along with our 2 small children. Approx 3 & 5. That 1st night a thunderstorm hit that would dump 11 inches of rain over the night. During the storm, a bear wandered into the camp to plunder the ice chest and garbage, sealing us into a small tent. The ex and I lay there on our sleeping bags with the kids laying on top of us (so that they could stay dry from the river that was running thru the tent) until daylight when we were sure the bear was gone.
Needless to say, a less than pleasurable evening. From then on, I took full advantage of local motels that had a bed, phone, shower, ac, tv, and roof for my hunting adventures. BTW, the bear came back the following spring and was killed trying to enter an occupied camper.
