How long will Skip Holtz be at La Tech?

I think he would be an interesting hire at Miami.

He's already coached in Southern Florida once so I guess he has some connections.

He's a terrible coach like Golden aswell so I think he fits perfectly

He ran USF straight into the ground so he's probably on The U's shortlist.

Really? Seems like Taggart's done a pretty unremarkable job there this far too. Holtz did very well at ECU & Doing great job at Tech after Dykes left the cupboards dry in '13.

I think Skip is perfect for Tech in that he's had other shots at bigger programs with no success.
He can recruit the LA Tech and his philosophy works for Tech.
I expect him to retire in Ruston.

I don't see him staying for a long time. We could do worse. We got him on the cheap. USF was still paying him 500k a yr through the end of this year. USF was a dumpster fire when he got there.
He runs a very respectable program. He brings in kids with character and runs a tight ship. He has insanely deep coaching connections. He brought in Kurt Hester (strength coach) and Rick Petri (DL coach). He may only win 7-8 games a year, with the occasional shot at 10. I think the fan base would be happy with that. He recruits high school kids and built up the depth the past few years. We may only go after one or two JUCOs this next recruiting cycle. We have depth at most positions. He has brought in a few freshmen QBs that look promising.
He isn’t flashy, but his teams play solid football with few penalties. Which is all Tech fans want, a solid, respected, football program that our conference mates admire.

Maybe he is just one of the coaches that does better in the lower level conferences.
Not hating on LaTech there just stating a fact. In fact I guess I have to stop my hating on LaTech starting for the next 4 years. My younger cousin committed to tech 2 weeks ago.

That's why he might be a good choice for Miami. He brings a name with notoriety and you know Lou would love going down to Miami and helping with the booster stuff and hanging out with alumni. I wouldn't be surprised if Skip and Lou both go there.

Uhhh outside of about 10-20 teams, I think most teams in college football would be okay with that....
