How is it possible to run as tight of a ship as Woodward does?

I have no idea how the business side of a coaching search works, but seriously, how does Woodward keep zero information from coming out? It’s pretty obvious that all of the “sources” are bullshite and no one has a clue, even guys who normally get good info. There obviously no way the search is unilateral, right?
So what’s the deal, NDA’s across the board for the important people and no loose lips otherwise? It’s so impressive that he’s running such a high profile search that anyone in Louisiana would kill to get a little bit of info on but there’s not a single reputable leak anywhere

I feel the need to post the same thing every time a thread like this pops up. How awesome is it to have an AD that doesn't speak a lot publicly, knows what to say when he does and has almost complete control over what information does get out? Compare and contrast that to what we had before. It must be like people going from black and white TV to color.

You’re half right.
I think he did quite a bit of diligence and tree-shaking early in the season and before the season. Now he is just waiting. When the regular season concludes, offer(s) will be made, and there will be some concrete information start to leak out.

I disagree. You don't get the financial support that Woodward has secured to buyout a guy for $17MM and receive a blank check to get the next guy without doing anything. Sorry, but if I'm an investor and you want my money you need to convince me that there is a return and you can't do that without something pretty concrete. I think Woodward has his guy and is just waiting till the season wraps up. There's not a lot of noise because there's little left to talk about. You don't get that much money based on a plan of we'll figure it out. My bet is that he's already got who he wants. Why else would you announce O leaving when they did?

IT is the middle of football season. He has not contacted any coaches. He may have spoken to some agents to get a feel if there is some interest. Some coaches who are not very interested today could change their mind at end of season.
