If you don't mind, the English language, and proper grammar, are to be used on this board. Thanks for your cooperation!

How would you know that when you didn't even know he was considered for the OC spot?

In any event he's not the OC. And I know because he was never seriously considered. I read all of the articles and kept up with the search.

It was fairly clear from the beginning that there were two targets: Fuente and Krags. Krags has been batted around on this board for at least two years due to a very knowledgable poster with good connections (BelowPar).

See, here's the thing. Auburn and Alabama are our two biggest rivals. If I didn't love you assholes, I wouldn't come in here and debate you.

Though I do feel that isn't a good hire, I will never hide from this board if I'm wrong. I'm okay with people taking shots at my opinions if I am wrong. We will see how this plays out.

It became abundantly clear to me, that without a guy the talent of a Cam, he is not nearly as good of a coach. Granted, this seems like an obvious statement. But there was nothing left behind to sustain success.

When you back out that one great season (and it was a great season, no doubt), I think you're at 16-10. His first season was padded by some easy wins. Once they got to the SEC schedule, it was much tougher. This year, they just flat out sucked (though they were pretty good in the bowl game)

Your definition of mediocre has really opened my eyes to things I've never imagined before.

I used mediocre to stir the posters up.

They've been good, but they aren't on the same level as Florida, LSU and Bama in the past 10 years. That's just in my opinion.

Yet you said he was only interviewed to be a QB coach.

The only two schools in the SEC with a higher win percentage in that time frame are LSU & UGA.

No other school has gone undefeated twice in that time frame.

AU - 2 Conf titles
UA - 1 Conf title
UF - 2 Conf titles
LSU - 3 Conf titles

You really know your football

If only us poor little barners had the mental capacity to get into such a prestigious school as Louisiana State University.

Don't put the facts out there, Dan
Up until the link provided you were saying it was a fact it was only for QB coach.

You really don't know what you are talking about bbt. It's OK to admit you were wrong.

The facts are as follows:

LSU - 2 BCS Titles
Bama - 2 BCS Titles
Florida - 2 BCS Titles
Auburn - 1 BCS Title

I go off of TITLES. Not winning percentages.

Then why the hell did you have UGA above us earlier?

+1

And let's completely ignore the 2004 screw job, because that would mess up his point.

You didn't play for the BCS in 2004, so what I stated was factual. Did you get screwed? No doubt. I am an SEC guy and I believe you got royally screwed..but at the same time, you didn't play for the BCS Championship.

And I did have UGA up there earlier because I think it's pretty much been UF or UGA in the SEC Championship game since 2001.

But when you look at the teams in greater detail (i.e. championships)..they aren't in the class of UF, LSU, and Bama.

And while Georgia can be debated, they have not won a national title like Auburn has. They've done fairly well in the 2000s, though.
