How can LSU justify firing Miles when they did?

The reason was to get a head start on the coaching search. Then, they didn't do a search. The whole process has consisted of a meeting with Herman (maybe) on the way to the game at A&M. To announce it's Herman or O without even doing a search is inexcusable and Joe Alleva should be fired regardless of the outcome. He is incompetent to a level rarely seen and given LSU's history, that's saying something.

Not entirely. He was brought back on the condition he would make changes on offense. We lost two early games almost entirely due to our same old bullshite offense and he got fired. And rightfully so. How do you know how extensive the search is, and if we end up with Herman, who cares? Will be a resounding success

Exactly.. nobody knows jack shite about what the admin is doing right now as far as a coaching search goes. It's be ONE DAY!!!! Just ONE!!!!

Most teams don't allow talks during the season...you do realize it's in bad form to talk to a current coach without consent right?

This is my point. They could t talk to anyone before now but it will be O if Herman falls through, therefore, no search. The search process should have begun this weekend, not be over after talking to one person then hiring the d-line coach.
And by the way, I am not against them firing Miles when they did. I wanted him gone for years, it just seems pointless if they turn around and give it to O.
