I don't think there's a ton of love for him, it's just starting to actually look like he may be the hire, some of us are happy, some of use are warming up to it, some of us are coping, and some of us will absolutely lose our minds

He is not my first choice, but he would certainly not be a bad hire. It is looking more like it is Jimbo, and if even one rumor or one thing someone said is true on this board, then it’s likely Jimbo

It’s the “one national championship” thing that makes most here want him. They fail to see that he did it with an extremely loaded team just like Orgeron did and then he tanked the program JUST LIKE ORGERON DID.

Both teams were so loaded with talent they could have had a potato as head coach and still won the championship.

It is not the love for Jimbo, it is the fear of Tucker being hired that makes some settle for Jimbo. At least today.

I'm not a advocate for Tucker by any means, but I'd rather him that Jimbo if I'm being honest. At least there is some uncertainty with Tucker that he might turn out to be a great hire. You pretty much know what you're getting with Jimbo. He's shown that at ATM. Average at best.

I agree, Jimbo football is not even exciting to watch.

Hes averaging 9 wins a season at A&M, LSU fired Miles for the same.... let that sink in. Hell Id rather Kiffin or Aranda than Jimbo. At least they have turned programs around with less talent

I don’t it’s love . He’s a top candidate that can swayed to come here . BTW he beat Bama with a VERY less talented team than O with 2019 LSU team ,
just saying …

Jimbo's career winning percentage is 77%. That's puts him behind only Saban and Dabo (80%) among active coaches.

Did he really though? FSU won 10 or more games 6 of the 7 seasons he was there, then in his final season their starting QB went down for the season in the first game of the year.

Jimbo isn’t my favorite candidate, but let’s be real.

Let me be the first to state “it’s our turn to say hell no to Jimbo”.

Aranda is who I want without a doubt. I was just making a point with Tucker. I personally feel like Dave is the best fit. The job probably should have went to him instead of Orgeron in 2016 if we’re being honest. I still feel like 2019 happens with Aranda in charge. We’ll never know how much influence he might have had on that team behind the scenes.

He had a higher winning percentage than Bowden at FSU.

Difference is Jimbo built his team 100% on his own. Also he followed up the NC year by going 13-0 and earning a spot in the playoffs. Show me where O won 27 straight games.

Jimbo is a fine candidate for the job IMO. He's not at the top of my list, I'd prefer someone younger but wouldn't be disappointed at all with him.

Saban is 24-1 against former assistants. We can make a better higher than one already likely to lose to one of our rivals.

Who's the one who beat Saban?

Every coach in the country is likely to lose to Saban. Who do you think is going to come here and be the Saban slayer? Some coach from the Sunbelt conference?

Well, let's phrase it like this. What is there to not like about Jimbo besides the fact that he's not the next Saban (who probably doesn't exist)? No coach is risk free, but there's not a lot to hate on his resume at this point+it looks like he's the floor if you trust certain people on this board that have been trustworthy in the past.
