This story has been called into question now. Supposedly Herman's agent isn't taking any meeting and isn't in Houston now.

Why would Herman's agent leak this the night before his last game? He has all the leverage, if he wanted to send a message to UT, he'd do it right after the final game tomorrow.

Texas job not officially open. Coaching fraternity is tight knit and there's a lot of respect amongst peers knowing how difficult and demanding the job is. If Herman is back channeling on a job that's not open which would force a guy to be fired then he's shady on an entire different level

I don't understand how Texas or Herman's agent leaking this info accomplishes anything.
If Herman's agent contacted Texas and told them that they have a X.XXX million offer for X years, wouldn't that get them to jump up and try to get Herman if they were interested?
Why leak? Why not just contact Texas?

I'm starting to think all of the conflicting reports are just TX people trying to keep hope alive.
