I was able to spend some time with someone involved in the coaching search this weekend. Pretty close to what Random said. I heard, Jimbo didn't discuss money figures but there is interest and the offer will be there from both parties(could be a ploy to get more from FSU). Jimbo is still friends with some of the people here at the university and around town. Don't worry about the money being an issue I was told it will be there. If its not Jimbo sounds like O is next in line. They feel Jimbo will have no problem leaving, partially because FSU is wearing on him and not a full backing from the university on money to assistants. Supposedly they have a plan in place for care for his son, and "Florida is only a plane ride away!" Direct quote.

Guys take it for what it's worth. No breaking news but just adding more backing to what Random said.

Sounds great. But it does make me wonder if y'all are all talking to the same guy and don't know it.

Possible, but this isn't a money guy. If I remember right Randoms guy was a money guy?

Or just restating what we already have been told.

Sounds like last November. Oh we have the money. When the AD called them for it, crickets. Money nowhere to be found

LSU didn't pay what they did to get rid of Les and not be willing to pay for the next coach

Nah, I have a client that's in the know. Can't tell u how many times I read something here and I'm like "hmmm, that's exactly what X said". Always confirms it for me because my guy never fully commits to anything. He always begins with "I'm hearing" or something like that but he's one the top boosters in BR. I know he knows shite

The only thing I don't buy is how all these people know this?

Why would Jimbo even talk to LSU right now vs waiting until the end of the season?

Willing or not, they don't have a choice now. They will get the best coach they can afford. I say they because I don't have a dime to give them. I'm sure no one else who post here does either.

There's two games left in a season that's over for both teams. The two or three weeks before bowl season and after the regular season are big recruiting periods. Kind of want a guy before that starts.

If these idiots hire O I'm officially off the LSU train. I'd rather watch Miles every year than hire a fanboy coach

This is why we really do not know how much jimbo is truly interested if at all. Of course his agent will say he is

Irregardless of wins and style of play?

Sounds reasonable enough.
