I don't have all of the information but didn't Shiano go tell what he'd just seen. It seems that the cover up was instigated by people much higher up in the hierarchy.

I agree. That's how i understand it as well. Which is why it baffles me that there's this outrage over him yet Briles scenario wasn't that big of a deal to some.

Not exactly. The person that broke the story said Schiano was aware of the showering technique.

One of his colleagues at Penn State testified that Schiano saw something. Schiano testified that he didn't see anything. How do you know which is true and which is a lie? You don't. You just want to join the mob and pile on.
What is really ironic is that the SOME of same people who want to skewer Schiano would gladly defend Roy Moore. Crazy world we live in. Just crazy.

That’s true, but he also still had his defamation or wrongful termination suit gong at the time. He didn’t drop that until the final word came down that he didn’t just turn a blind eye, but actively helped to cover it up.
FWIW, I was for getting his kid as OC if we missed on Canada. I’d still take him. You know he will go to lengths to stay squeaky clean after getting singed by the firestorm at Baylor.

Here is the thing, the case is even thinner than you describe. Mcquery was not a colleague of Schiano. Schiano was gone 9 years before McQuery was on staff. Another assistant Tom Bradley told McQuery (according to McQuery deposition) that another assistant, purported to be Schiano, had seen something. Both Bradley and Schiano said this didn't happen.
