Scott Frost was largely responsible for the recruiting void that left Oregon having to rely on graduate transfer QBs. Even though he wasn't the OC this year that was the recruiting situation he left behind for the new OC.
Doubt Oregon will hire him as head coach.
Frost was responsible for Morgan Mahalak, who transferred (and maybe Damion Hobbs who also left). The guys who should have been in the void between Mariota and the Mahalak generation were Jake Rodrigues and Jeff Lockie. Those were Helfrich's selections. Rodrigues transferred to San Diego State and ended up 3rd in line. Lockie stayed and played horribly when they needed him.
What Frost was responsible for was a fetish for 4th down goal line fades to the shortest receiver on the team.

Please hire him as the OC

Feldman is saying Schiano is a possibility. Uncle Phil was at the OSU/Michigan game. Feldman has ties to Oregon too.

With his ties to Pedo St., I hate the idea.

I'd love to hire him as OC.
Even if UF might not have the perfect personnel for his type of offense, anything to get rid of Nussmeier would be fantastic.

Look for Holgorsen to get mentioned, if for no other reason than his agent stirring shite up in contract talks. FS1 reported it as fact (lulz) during last weekend's ISU game.

Do LSU fans realize that even Division III teams would laugh their heads off at the idea of hiring Orgeron as head coach?

Exactly. Let's not act like helfrich was the brains behind Kelly's offense.
Helfrich was at Oregon for like 8 years. Prior to that he spent a few years at Colorado with dan Hawkins and a few years at Arizona state.
He was OC at Colorado when they began their rapid decline, and oversaw Oregons worst season in 20 years. But please, tell us more about how accomplished he is.

Nussmeier lived down the street. Wish he were doing better.

He was apparently one hell of a QB coach under Koetter. Colorado was a shite show of a team and he did so poorly Oregon hired him away.
Like I said, despite his past QB development success, the recent fact that Oregon hasn't developed a starter since Mariota is bothersome.
I don't think anyone is implying he is the brains behind kelly's offense. Chip was a hell of an offensive mind at UNH long before he went to UO. But to act like he wouldn't be a successful OC because of a poor year at Oregon as the HC is shortsighted IMO.

Why would Oregon hire an OC as head coach when that plan just failed them? They need to hire an established head coach. I would go after holgorson or fleck.

Herbert is a stud.
And he's a true freshman.
Helfrich tried to rely on two grad transfers and then a true freshman instead of any of the guys he's had in the program for a few years.

$10 says its Mullen. He was in Dallas a few days ago "recruiting". Same time that Mullens would have been in Dallas for his playoff committee meetings...
