Except for the fact that he played football and graduated from Texas Tech and began his coaching career there. This isn’t exactly trying to pull a coach from their alma mater, he’s been in Norman less than 10 years.

We've had countless other threads the last 3 weeks stating Jimbo was the guy or Tucker and they never went this long. Admins probably got the go ahead to keep it up.

I'm not saying I believe any of this until it actually happens, but this type of comment is so overstated with these coaching searches. These guys are loyal to whoever will pay them most money and the place that hasn't the best chance to get them where they want to be. I mean, think about it like this, if you work for company and another one offers you double the salary, are you really going to be loyal to that other one just because that's where you got your start? Absolutely not. You give them a chance to match it and if they don't, you leave and go make more money. It's just how it works. Loyalty only goes so far. If Riley thinks he can win championships and get a substantial pay raise in the process, I would assume he would think that is a vast improvement on his current situation. Riley didn't have any association with OU until he started coaching there, so how much loyalty do you really think he has?
Take Orgeron for example, USC was his dream job until LSU was his dream job.
