Smells like Houston people floating names of the people they contacted to try and make the position look like it's in demand. No way in hell any of those guys step down out of the P5 unless they're fired. You go to Houston to make people think you would be successful in the P5. If you've already been at a P5 school and weren't that good then even if you win at Houston the cat is already out of the bag.

That one actually makes sense, and if I was a betting man I'd take it. I'm surprised Applewhite isn't getting more of a look, but I guess he would have been named interim if they thought he was worth it. Lots of talk from Texas sites that Todd Orlando is going to be offered the permanent gig and that's why Herman is after Aranda so hard.
