I don't understand aubie wanting to get rid of a guy that has kept them at or above their historical norm.
It's like aggie firing Sumlin and breaking the bank for the same results.

Gus is bot a bad coach, his W/L is above Auburns all time average. They have a shite QB this year. Gus with a good QB again will do damage

This is the issue IMO. There are no for sure hires out there right now.
Now if he beats bama on saturday then he will be deemed a great coach and not on the hot seat going into the off season.
