It's insane, do they think there's a coaching salary cap or something?

quote:pickens has been a pretty vocal pain in the arse about Gundey, it would actually be a positive if we were going after him, maybe even the main reason he'd leave.
Is there any way LSU outbids T Boone?

Just a little food for thought:
quote:
Many current NCAA head coaches and assistants trace their careers back to Gundy's coaching tree. Included among those are North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora, West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen, Southern Miss head coach Todd Monken and Illinois former head coach Tim Beckman. Fedora, Monken and Holgorsen served as offensive coordinators under Gundy, while Beckman was his defensive coordinator.

I'm with you on both counts. Fuente will need help with recruiting here. Even at VA Tech, he hasn't been required to do it on this level. Despite that, he looks like a potentially great head coach. I really don't think people realize what Larry Porter turned Memphis into. They were a bottom 5 FBS team, and got challenged or beaten by a couple of mediocre FCS teams. He ran the ship completely into the ground. It's amazing how far Fuente took that program in such a short span.
You watch. In a couple of years, Mike Norvelle may be one of those "next guys up." He is certainly off to a good start maintaining what Fuente started, and is actually a FAR better recruiter.

Les' transformation of the program is now complete. People are actually going to be grateful if the program hires a guy who won one Big 12 title in twelve years at Okie State.
Do you realize Stillwater is a shithole??

I'm gonna be so pissed if after all this we end up with Mike fricking Gundy

Gundy? I'll allow it, at least over Fedora. Gotta keep that OSU-LSU connection going, I guess.

We contacted Holgorsen to discuss Gundy. Makes sense. Covering all bases.

I just do not understand them not even interviewing Herman. It makes no sense.
I hope Jimbo says yes.

Funny. I just wrote that. See a trend here.

My sources indicate that although Gundy will be purchasing a home in Baton Rouge through an intermediary, he has already personally contacted a number of pest control companies to ensure that a termite contract will be in full force and effect once he moves into the home.

I like it!
Gundy Followed Miles once and approved upon the situation, shite miles was 7 games above 500 when we hired him from OSU
104-48 at OSU is impressive, and he has certainly been proven to be able to build off of mile's moment in the past
makes a lot of sense to me

I was with this guy as an insider until this post. Why are the odds of getting Herman growing slimmer? Texas is botching their search big time. They don't even need a search at the moment.

Because, surprise surprise, we know NOTHING about what is going on behind closed doors. The info we're getting from Random is something that is being relayed to him, so we don't know what went in to getting to that point.

The TD way. We're fans until we disagree.

It means that Herman isn't doing interviews with anyone at this stage (likely because he wants the Texas job, is waiting for it, and has some assurance that it is his.)

You're telling me the odds of getting Herman are getting slimmer.
Why? Makes no sense.
Then Gundy comes out of thin air.

He's had a history of being right.
But, make no mistake, he likes to get the attention. He makes a single post and then leaves. He's intentionally vague about certain topics. You have to take the good with the bad.
