Funny you mention this....
One interesting name thrown about was the mysterious BL. The Lawyer said BL would have a say in how all this played out. Lot of folks thought BL meant BL as in Lincon Riley's agent, Bob LaMonte. BUT. then folks started talking about Mike Tomlin. Yes, yes, Coach Tomlin shot down the rumors today. His agent also starts with BL. Brian Levy. Let's look at his roster, shall we:
Mike Tomlin (Steelers HC)
Derek Mason (Current DC at Auburn; former HC at Vandy)
Vance Joseph (DC Arizona Cardinals; former DB Coach BG)
Eric Bieniemy (OC KC Chiefs - currently shitting the bed)
Harold Goodwin (assitant HC, Run Game, TB Bucs)
Raheem Morris (DC LA Rams)
That's just the ones I could find after a cursory glance. Then I found this article on SI:
Lack of Head Coach Diversity
From the article:
quote:
But first, back to the summit, and Levy, one of the most fascinating people I’ve met in the NFL. He grew up in Manhattan Beach, the Jewish and Italian section of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. In 1990, he founded Goal Line Football, representing a small group of NFL players. Two of those players—Raheem Morris and Vance Joseph—decided to go the coaching route when their playing careers ended, so they went from player clients to coaching clients. Then Mike Tomlin signed on. Today Levy and his vice president, former NFL player and scout Cedric Saunders, represent more than 70 NFL coaches, the majority of whom are African-American.
As a result, Levy has become an unlikely expert on the politics of minority coaching hires in the NFL, advising clients on which interview opportunities are the real deal and which are likely toothless attempts to satisfy the Rooney Rule. Last offseason he set out to provide coaches in his group with educational opportunities through a weekend coaches’ summit. Ten months later, Levy watched client Steve Wilks lose his job after one season in Arizona, and Vance Joseph get the boot after two losing seasons in Denver.
Just some food for thought. Havent been able to find out who Tucker's agent is. And, at the dollar amounts they are talking about, the LSU gig is as high value as it gets these days. So take this ESPN article, with the Atlantic article saying O losing the locker room after the Trump visit being such a big deal, the SI article I linked, and you have all the earmarks of a mover and shaker trying to play all the angles behind the scenes.

Affirmative Action hire from a CRT advocate/author. What could go wrong?

The dummies on this board would rather Aranda. Mel Tucker is a better defensive coach and a better head coach.
You're either extremely stupid or trolling

It will be interesting to see the comments on this board after MSU beats Michigan this weekend

What’s more impressive, the overall record or the over 400 yards given up by his defense this year. Oh, and the 400 yards given up is against the weakest part of the schedule.
Now do points per game

LSU outsiders are saying, “just when we thought LSU couldn’t screw up another HC hire…..they f’ing found a way with Mel Tucker. Only at LSU!

But Dias said he’s the top choice
Posted on 10/26/21 at 10:08 pm to tigerwith3
Only given up 14 tds and 4.87 yards a play.

He’s my pick. I’m still trying to figure out why everybody is so high on Kiffin and Napier.

Eric bieniemy is the only one from that list i could see.
Posted on 10/26/21 at 10:16 pm to Chalkywhite84
Bieniemy will be an NFL HC in the next 2-3 years. My guess is either the Lions or Giants.

Not that I personally agree with that, it just is what it is at the moment. He is definitely not a fan favorite. Out of all possible hires, he gets the most poo’d on so far
Again, I am not sold but what he did is quite impressive. They related it to managing a pro team and scouting talent. I know his defense has given up a lot of yards this year but the guy ran a top 10 defense in the NFL and with the right talent, I’m certain his team will be better. He has scrape together some talent of the transfer portal and moved MSU from the garbage dump to the top ten. Regardless of his tenure, it’s impressive.

You know, it's almost embarrassing the way the media is SHAMELESSLY attempting to influence the LSU coaching search.
But then again, we should expect no less from them. No one in the national media gives a damn about LSU's football fortunes. Try and remember that.
It's not their call. Leave Woodward to his work.

Totally agree with you. Let the man do his job and none of you fools know what he is going to do. You don’t have no sources telling you who it is.
