There was an article that came out well over a year ago called "A big house divided" and it laid out the sentiment at Michigan for and against Miles. Basically two camps at the school, and one was still solidly pro Miles. Carr was definitely not one of them.

its early and i've got a cold coming on so forgive me if i'm missing something but where in that article does it indicate Carr hates Miles? Only coach that it seemed Carr has a problem with in that article is RR......again, the DayQuil may be clouding my reading comprehension.

Just FYI-i researched this whole "Miles cheated with another coach's wife at um" rumor and didn't find anything to substantiate it. Even a um forum discussed it and said there was zero concrete info and that the rumor continues to this day based on nothing but it was a rumor before. Hate to see that continue to be tossed around as fact and disparage Miles.

We've spent the last 3 years (or more) listening to other SEC fans tell us how bad a coach we have, many of our fans have agreed with them, and then the winningest college football program in CFB history wants him.

We've spent the last 3 years watching bad LSU football teams, hoss.

If Michigan wants him, it's because the decision makers want to cover their asses, and they can just point to Miles's record like all of the cheerleaders here do.

Don't let Max see this. He's been giddy like a Japanese schoolgirl ever since he read it.

08 was bad, 09 was decent, 10 has the potential for 11 wins and a top ten finish in the country.

maybe you were watching a different team the last 3 years?

You want to go game by game and tell me which ones were good performances? Maybe go back to October and watch the national press laughing at LSU for magically winning while playing so poorly. And no, I don't care about the national press either, but it is what it is.

No, I just remember what I saw, unlike the final record fairies.

The fairies know what actually counts.

I would like to see smooth operations week in and week out, but it just doesn't happen.

Recall Bama blocking a kick to beat UT at home last season? What about AU escaping several times this season? Plenty of teams, especially in the SEC, have to squeak by in some games at some point in the season. The level of competition is really close.

But you probably think LSU is far and away more talented than everyone else. And you'd be wrong in thinking that.

WGAF? They thought they smelled blood in the water so they piled on. the national press also hailed the arrivals of RR @ UM and fat boy @ notre dame if you want to get led around by the nose by the "national media" then that's your problem.

clearly. you're a real independent thinker.

a win vs TAMU and miles has 4 top ten finishes in 6 years. it is what it is.

how is that weak shite? when you have an offense ranked in 90's-100's you should be glad you guys are as good as you are.

And a loss and he has averaged 4 losses a year over his last 3 seasons.

What counts to me is enjoying the games. Crazy.

It would be nice if it happened more than 2 or 3 times a year. Again, this isn't just one season of this. We have NEVER been a consistently smooth-operating football team under Miles.

Does the coaching staff get the most (within reason) out of the talent that we do have?

wait all I heard last year was that the last two years was the most accurate way to judge a head coaches performance. were you guys just bullshitting me so you wouldn't have to include a 12 win season and a national title?
