Or maybe not land another job in college. If you are University President are you going to put your hopes on a guy who does not have your back when push comes to shove. Maybe he moves on to the pros as an assistant. I think what he did was pretty stupid when the facts are that this was 3 mostly unproven accusations and not all of his players were involved in the protest. Not even half I don't believe.

A thoughtful person would understand the situation Pinkle was put in. Either come out against the University President or take a public position against a huge portion of your team, and in the process seriously damage your credibility on the recruiting trail with certain groups/open yourself up for serious negative recruiting.

Wait, he going to quit? This might sound crazy, and he can do whatever he wants, but I feel like he should go down with the ship. If he quits, he's basically saying "I'm a baby back bitch and fraud." Like, it would almost be insulting to the public's intelligence if he quit and acted like none of this happened.
I usually ignore topics like this and don't give a shite what people caught up in them say or do. But, who is he trying to fool? Why did he decide to do all of this?

Pinkel's problem is that he underestimated (as did all of us, I think) how strong the movement actually is. Probably thought it was going to blow over. Not the case- it's getting worse arguably.

I understand your point, but I don't think those were his only two choices. I mean, he became a very vocal leader of an absurdly idiotic cause. And for what? So his misguided players would feel better? For recruiting? Saying he sold out would be an incredible understatement.

Or, maybe he's saying this place is a dumpster fire and I've had enough.

I hope he does step down. Mizzou deserves whatever crap coach they bring in.

Huge part? The frick could he have done in that situation?

He'd be a fool to stick around if he can get another power 5 head coaching job but he's partly responsible for all of this mess so I want to see him go down with the school and the football program.

Sylvester Croom is the hero Missouri needs, but doesn't want right now.
