Research what FSU pays its coaches, that theory is false
Wrong.

LSU paid Cam $1.5m. LSU paid Aranda 1.3m this year.

Kelly gets paid 0.83m this year at FSU and that's after a huge bumpage.

Took 2 pro bowl receivers, an NFL running back, and a backup NFL quarterback to make it serviceable. Still only scored 17 on Bama and lossed

This right here is exactly what I've said. 2013 is the biggest indictment against Les. For this reason alone I'm glad he's gone.

Didn't say FSU pays more than LSU, but the notion that FSU doesn't pay their assistants well is False. Kelly got a big bump because he was promoted from within.

I was merely responding to the comment about losing 3 games in a "weaker" conference not comparing schedules. People always talk about the ACC being weaker, but conferences don't play games, teams do and I'd Clemson and Louisville over anyone in the SEC aside from Bama.

I get it, but it's concerning to me when I look at FSU's record the last two years. Look at how many close games he had to pull out against, what should be, inferior teams. It brings up a lot of questions in regards to recruiting, promoting coaches within, etc. Is the distractions from his personal causing the drop? Is the conference getting better? Is it complacency? Is it bad luck and injuries? I really don't know, but if the decline the last two years is at least not questioned...... well WTF

Jimbo without a doubt has what it takes to win at the highest level in college, but does he have what it takes to do it on a consistent basis?

I look at Jimbo like this. LSU has a problem getting through Bama to win the west. IS JIMBO GOING TO GET US OVER THE HUMP?

When I ask this question to myself, another thought comes up. JIMBO HAS FALLEN BEHIND CLEMSON, LOUISVILLE, AND UNC in his conference. CLEMSON is the class of that conference. CLEMSON IS THE A.C.C'S BAMA.

So, If Jimbo can't get through CLEMSON to win the conference, now. HOW IS HE GOING TO GET THROUGH BAMA?

This is something that concerns me. He should be littered with talent with his n.c. run of two years ago. Why is he falling behind rather than dominating the a.c.c.?

You know Dabo and Clemson were not competing for championships until they got Watson. I guess we will see when he leaves if they continue. Or when Dabo loses his star assistant, defense coordinator Brent Venables. Clemson pays him like 1.7 million.

Miles fans used a Fr or So qb as an excuse for miles shite arse records. So with jimbo we just ignore that?

The difference is you can see improvements in Jimbo coached QBs. They would still be playing like freshman under Les. Not to mention Jimbo doesnt pride himself on a 1960s style of run first offense

Well, you are making my point. Clemson improved in multiple areas to surpass FSU and FSU did not maintain or improve their defense, oline, etc. And, they should have. Their run with Winston to the n.c. and playoff's should have brought in talent to reload these areas. How did Clemson and Louisville out recruit them two years ago? And I don't care about 247 rankings, Clemson and Louisville must have evaluated their team, players, etc to fill holes and perform better. FSU's defense and Oline isn't on par with Clemson or Louisville at this point. UL's qb was right there in florida. That's like lsu missing on Prescott.

I'll take Fisher's offense, play calling and ability to coach a QB combined with Aranda's defense.

I think his DC is not very good and that was a mistake on his part. Saban and Miles have both had to replace coordinators after one season because they were not happy with them. I wouldn't expect Jimbo to bring Kelley with him to LSU. I think that is what has separated the two. Clemson won by 3 points. It's not like there is a giant gap. They have a Heisman finalist at QB and a good defense.

And Jimbo losing Pruitt really hurt him. Blame FSU for not paying up to keep him

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Pruitt leave FSU for Georgia last year and then left for Bama this year when Kirby took over for Richt?

Throwing a complete forward pass on a consistent basis would be an improvement. It really is sad with all the NFL talent we have.

I think you're twisting things a mite. sure, LSU has a lot of NFL talent but it's not on the OL, TE or QB.

Well, 2 years isn't enough to detect a trend. For example dos is saying how can he get past Bama when he can't get past Clemson, but 13 month's ago the narrative was the exact opposite. Can Dabo/Clemson get past FSU?

So basically FSU has the same record as LSU the last two years in a weaker conference and heading coaching changes.

Great point!

We better make offer to Tom Herman before anyone else. I think we can do better than Jimbo Fisher.

Florida State was completely depleted by the NFL draft before last year. They lost something like 14-15 starters. LSU has actually kept players the past few years.
