This is my first post, so I recognize that I deserve zero credibility whatsoever. Take it or leave it. I don't care and likely won't post again once this is over.
I made this account today specifically to post the news contained in this thread topic. Since graduating from OU in 2007, this is the first time I have ever had any "inside" information. I work on LaSalle Street in Chicago and my company provides financial consulting services for more than one sports agency firm. Part of our job is interfacing with our clients' legal teams on certain matters. You run into some interesting people in this line of work.
The numbers cited by the OP are real (or so close as to be substantially the same). I am NOT misusing any work product or information gained through my professional duties by sharing this. I learned it while attending a function with someone else in my company that has every reason to know about this matter.
???I personally don't have a strong opinion on whether OU should match these numbers. I have loved what Riley has done, but I'm not convinced we should play a game of spending chicken with LSU for him. I only know about the numbers. If I find out anything else, I may post it if I think it is reasonably safe for me.
Take it or leave it, baby.

If that dude is telling the truth, what a dumbass. Overshared too many personal details.
Like it isn't hard as shite to find a 2007 OU grad that works in Chicago in financial consulting on LaSalle street

Yes indeed. He will definitely get shite-canned if that is legit and he is figured out.

Thanks, I got that part. The quoted post refers to “numbers in the OP” but never says what they are.

Honestly if they (OU)can’t match 12 mil a year it’s sad, they have the money and resources.
Posted on 11/17/21 at 4:28 pm to HTOWNTIGER1
man whatchew talking about? This doesn't make any sense

That is about the number that I would expect us to offer and for OU to be about 1-2 mil less, which really makes it tough on Lincoln. I don't see us offering 12 - Lincoln would be a done deal at 12 - 8 or 9 is probably OU's ceiling.

Graduation year (or even OU degree) could be intentional disinformation. I'd throw some shite out there too if I were posting something like that.
