Per their 247 site
Late Edit/correction:
quote:
As we previously reported, Kelly had a call with Cincinnati defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman on Monday and the expectation is that he will be on campus for an in-person interview later this week in South Bend, which will be late Thursday or early Friday.
Late Edit/correction:

Well, things have moved quickly, as Irish Illustrated has learned through a source that Freeman was actually at Notre Dame on today, on Tuesday, as he was interviewing for the defensive coordinator opening. We will do what we can to find out exactly how things went. We do know that Notre Dame was hoping to have the last crack at him later this week, but it seems this visit fit Freeman's schedule best.
We’re told Freeman will now head to Baton Rouge for an interview at LSU, which is expected to take place either Wednesday or Thursday. Regarding other potential opportunities, we're told to continue keeping an eye on Auburn, Texas and Michigan.

its a good time to be Marcus Freeman

Welp that’s after the LSU interview, so maybe the plane ride into BR doesn’t mean he’s gonna sign

From what I can tell, Norte Dame doesn’t seem like the type to get into a bidding war for coaches

Need to keep him in town until he signs

One day, you too can Coach Vanderbilt or get stolen away by an SEC School.

Can’t let him leave BR without a signed contract

If he makes the interview. He's going to LSU first if they give him a deal he can't refuse he cancels the interview with ND. Seems simple to me unless he wants more bargaining chips on the table. LSU is not going to play that game though. They'll give him a very sweet attractive offer and if he tries to leverage more I think they go to next person on their list.
ND might already be the bargaining chip since LSU knows he's going there right after he leaves.

I'm pretty sure the BR airport is going to be snowed in by Thursday evening.
Hopefully Thursday morning LSU can make it rain.

Freeman is currently coaching in the Midwest so he's not afraid of the weather factor. Sitting across from O and then Brian Kelly, O will lose. Salary and facilities are where our advantage lies

LSU's AD gave the last DC...who nobody else wanted to interview...the second (maybe third) richest contract in the nation. Imagine what kind of leverage Freeman has considering SEVERAL schools want him?
Bo had no leverage and Woodward still bent over and spread them. God knows what he might do if Freeman demands market value

Geographically, ND has the advantage here. All other factors should favor LSU. I don't think there is a better opportunity for him out there short of an NFL DC or college HC job. LSU's talent with his coaching skills would be formidable.

Only because the shine from O’s national championship ring blinds Freeman

The hell he will. O will give him gumbo. What will Kelly give him? Shitty chili?

Depends if he want's championships or not.
LSU will be in position for a championship. ND, no way.
ND has some issues recruiting athletes, they have higher standards.

Not even worried about it.
Elko left ND to coach the Aggies....
This is all the sample size I need.

Oof, that’s where you went to propel your career 30 years ago.
Excited to see LSU up against them.

O will lose
O won it all and all the awards
Kelly hasn't , Kelly has been abused on the big stage and tarnished ND badly...nobody things they belong
so don't tell me about respect and who wins an interview
