Franklin is out. Will likely stay put at Penn State.

Was on Woodward’s short list to start but negotiations just didn’t go anywhere. Woodward knew and Franklin likely knew he wasn’t the number 1 choice. The talks were there early but Woodward is locked in on 2 guys at the moment.
Cross him off the list if he hasn’t been already.
Franklin, Tucker, Fickell, Kiffin all are out of it to this point.
When you start crossing people of this magnitude off the list you are close to a decision. LSU is likely a week maybe 2 away from having a coach. When will it be released or leaked? Who knows.

I've also heard we're not about to settle for Napier level and we're getting a big name type so this is exciting as hell to say the least.

Sounds like Jimbo, Riley, Petersen and Cristobal cause Godfrey already said Matt Campbell is also out. I don’t know for certain tho but Godfrey did rule out Campbell.

Franklin would have been a horrible fit in Baton Rouge. Completely different mindset from Vandy and PSU to LSU.

Campbell hasn’t even talked to the LSU administration or Woodward at all to what I know. So if that is any indicator I would say Campbell is out of it as well.

Possibly, if that’s the case then Riley and Dabo? I don’t know why, I like Dabo but I just can’t see Dabo at LSU. Who do you got JP?

LSU had their coach at least over a month ago. There was no search as usually thought of. The coach was secured then O was terminated. To think Woodward did not know that he was going to terminate O all along is denying the facts. And since he knew over a year ago this was going to be O’s last season it stands to reason that Woodward secured the coach. So it is not Woodward fired O then searched for a coach. It is Woodward secured the coach then fired O.

I’m just going by what Godfrey said about Campbell, Yea I don’t think they had any talks either.
