I just hope our new finds a way to keep him on the staff.

Somebody really needed to say this?

That means there are many more idiots on here that initially thought.

Now this I agree with. He loves it here and will do anything to help LSU. IF Kiffin is here, I have no doubt that would happen. As far as anyone else, idk.

And for people who try to downvote me, I l'm obviously talking about on staff in some capacity not as head coach. You don't make the move to fire BK to settle for Frank.

He might not be in serious contention to be HC, but nobody wants him to leave either. That man bleeds purple & gold, is an ace recruiter, and the players love him. If he's not the general, then he's definitely one of the colonel's you want on your staff. I hope he, Blake Baker, Corey Raymond, and Kyle Williams all stay no matter who's hired.

There is a percentage of the fan base that says he is. About 13%

Exactly they do not accept the interim role without a promise of being considered.

Frank helped his cause beating Arkansas and if he can beat WKU and stay competitive with OU he could be in the mix if higher candidates decline.

Are some of you people such emotional women that you think an interim coaching getting a few lame duck wins makes him deserving?

I think the real issue is people that have completely abandoned the concepts of value, liquidity and the evolving market for players which requires more capital.

Overspending on a coach that doesn’t bring championships at this point may be catastrophic. If that guy isn’t out there, you have to consider other options. That isn’t being emotional, it’s recognizing that there are a limited number of coaches out there that can meet our expectations and the ones that would possibly come is even more limited. This is a market reality that recognizes constraints.

At some point, in any coaching search, if you cannot find a great fit at a reasonable value, the interim coach must be a serious candidate. It’s actually pretty emotional to dismiss that possibility at this point, because we don’t know what our other options are.

We could do a lot worse than Frank Wilson. I think our last choice wound up being worse. That isn’t to say he is the best candidate it’s just recognizing the reality that we may need to settle, and that these huge coaching contracts simply don’t typically translate to championships - hey usually wind up in buyouts.
