At this point he won't be at lsu. The answer that frank Wilson gave about his job status told me he was leaving.

LSU Football should close the doors then. They have ZERO chance to win if Frank isn't coaching here....

Remind me what LSU did in 2003, 2007, and 2019? Can you name the recruiting coordinator for those years?

How much $$$ were players being offered in those years? It's a different era of Show me the money. UT could give FW a loaded armored truck instead of a bag.

As many posters have said on here, recruiting isnt about relationships anymore it's about money. Well its both. FW has relationships and ties throughout the state. A UT can give him the money needed to grab recruits.

It's Lane's program. His decision. We'll see what he chooses to do.

LSU can't touch UT or A&M's oil baron monies. Dont be surprised if Austin Thomas lands at one of these two schools either.

Why haven't they been using all of the money yet? The recruits only accept money if the coach is from New Orleans proper?

Not nearly as much as it used to - all things considered equal then a recruiter like Frank would matter to put it over the top. If he leaves we probably will lose a recruit or two here or there for a year or two until we are winning and then it won't matter. People also have to get past this sky is falling mentality if we lose a 4 or 5 star kid from Louisiana. Of course we want to keep them, but one player doesn't make a team and kids out of high school just aren't as valuable anymore. And tons of them turn out to be busts anyway

Still takes a connected bagman dude, to walk into those homes and make the sale to the parents. FW bleeds purple and gold, and is a stellar recruiter. If he isn't on Kiffin's staff, he'll be on someone elses radar. The question to ask is; will the fence around La begin to crack?

Wish Frank well and don't discount he has brought value to LSU, but I can't think of one elite program where an assistant has been given such exhalted godfather status as Frank. It doesn't seem healthy to be honest.

How many were LSU or SEC level? Why are all 15 not on LSU with Frank on staff?

Truth is that they have lots of talent, but once every three or four years have recruits that are of the level for LSU.

There have been years with 1 NOLA area player in the top 10 of the LA rankings. It’s not as fertile as some make it out to be. Some years it has 3-4 players.

It is not a lynchpin on its own for LSU to be successful, but we should give up actual coaching skill to maybe get 1 or 2 players every couple of years that we may get anyhow.

Who are you referring to?

Name one running back that has improved under him after their first year with his coaching not named Hill and Fournette? You can’t because they don’t exist.

Nope. I am hoping Wilson gets the F out and goes to UT. Would be hilarious to watch him destroy their running game.

I’m not sure if Wilson is as good as he once was. He misses on a lot of evals it seems.

The kid at Duke is a perfect example. That was a huge Whiff by Frank and the staff.

Doing some digging it looks like Jabbar Jukuke is Texas first choice, and he is somewhat dragging his feet throwing Frank’s hat in the ring

Oh really.

2025 LSU spent $18 M on their roster.
2025 Texas spent $35-$40 M on roster.

In 2024 the Texas football program football took in an incredible $204.7 million in revenue. No other SEC team topped $150 million in revenue.

In 2024, LSU football program revenue was $107.8 M.

So in 2024 alone, Texas football had $96.9 M more in revenue than LSU.

You're right, can't argue with stupid. That's why you can't grasp how wealthy Texas' program really is.
