Croom to Alabama. That was the biggest mistake we ever made. Not hiring coach Croom. Just my opinion.

I agree Scoop, I wish we had hired Croom.
Sadly, he HIMSELF put a clause in his contract so that he could not take a job at an SEC school.

Croom would be a solid hire for Bama but something tells me he would snub Bama at this point. EXPECATIONS are the problem at Bama and coaches have started to realize it's a no win situation there. If you don't win...you're fired. If you do win and then have a down year...FIRED. Bama fans, boosters, media will not be happy until they find another Bear Bryant who wins championship after championship and hardly ever loses. That won't happen in todays SEC so no coach will ever be good enough.

I heard Croom speak here in Jackson before the season began. He didn't speak with fondness of the current situation at Alabama. He spoke fondly of the Bear and his time as a coach on his staff, but it sounded like the bridges have been burned.

I agree on the Croom thing and it made me hate Mike Shula because of it.
Even if he had struggled we would've been in better shape discipline wise without that joke of that last staff.
