He makes like 3.4 million. The salary ranges LSU is talking about would certainly get his attention.

The Midwest and the South have a lot more cultural similarities than most people think. I don't think Fickell would be interested in USC, but I think LSU would definitely interest him.

I also think Aranda is the best hire for LSU. They could probably get a bigger name but I don't think they could get a better fit.

How do you know he hasn't? If anything has shown anything we don't know anything. This just reminds me of the baseball hire too much. Everyone had the top 5 figured out and the guy they wanted. Then jay johnson is hired and everyone was surprised.

It could have been Fickell this whole time and it's just been kept hush. Not to mention a school that would benefit from this being kept quiet. Competing for a playoff birth and no need for a controversy about if the coach is leaving.

We all know, we know nothing. So until the ink is dry for whoever it may be, i think almost anything is in play. Especially with the amount of money and the proven track record that given the right staff and players the team can soar to great heights.

Honestly we should be hoping a hire is not made Sunday. If it carries out a little while longer, should be getting a guy that is still competing for something.

No but he isn't coming here. He will hold out for the right Big10 job. So again if you think money will get him here you are the delusional one and have obviously not researched the guy at all

Thank you for having some common sense. People on this board think that coaches only care about money. If they would research fickell for a matter of 5 minutes they would see that he is not motivated by money or that's not his main motivation.

That wasn't what you said and it wasn't what I responded to. You said "anyone who thinks Fickell is leaving is delusional". If you think Fickell will finish his career in Cincinnati you are delusional. I stand by that statement.

Unless someone on this board has talked to Fickell, they have absolutely no idea what he thinks about the LSU job or whether he would take it if offered. No one.

Ummm...I quoted your OP stating:

quote:

Anybody who honestly thinks LSU couldn’t pay Fickell enough to leave Cincy is delusional.

And I replied:

Anybody who thinks he is leaving is delusional, but by all means keep living in fantasy land.

If you couldn't piece together I meant for LSU OK. Sorry you couldn't put that together.
