I'd be pissed if I was a Michigan fan.

Maybe so but I doubt Martin operates alone.

Could someone organize a Tepperini to Nebraska March. I might drive from Tennessee to Baton Rouge or to Lincoln to lend support.

BONUS item that I don't have multiple sources on, so consider this not 100% reliable, but logical: Grand Valley's athletic director has been contacted by a Michigan representative doing due diligence on Brian Kelly. That representative? Lloyd Carr. That might explain the prominence in Ferentz in the search. The Horror, evidently, was not enough to shake Carr's influence despite the claims made in his outgoing press conference.

BONUS BONUS item: Grand Valley's AD has been contacted by another athletic director doing background checks on Kelly. His name? Kevin White. His school? Notre Dame.

If Carr is part of Martin's team to find a new coach then Miles is apparently a distant 3rd candidate

I do realize that this -- unlike the Lloyd thing -- is unlikely to ever be publicly acknowledged if Ferentz turns it down,

Michigan fans are not happy about this rumor.

This has got to be one of the worst hires in NCAA hx!!!
Damn, If this is true Mich. fans need to riot in the streets. You don't hire a coach that is failing at a rival school!!! Hell Iowa went 6-6 and didnt even play Mich or tOSU....This is absolutely F'in nutzo....If true and Ferentz takes the job maybe it will fire Miles up and get him off his butt and coach the hell out of Phat boy.....

I dont care who turned them down.....Ferentz isnt a good coach. For the money to match Ferentz Salary they could get someone with at least a winning record over the last few years.

There is no freakin way Michigan hires a coach who is presently making $3 million a year and has gone 12-12 the last two years. No freakin way.

The only mistake Miles made was not going for 2 on the last TD we scored in regulation against Arkansas.

Are you kidding? Did you watch any of the games this season?
