Richt would kill it at UVA assuming they fire London

That would be a great fit for Richt. Another state with a lot of talent where he would be praised for 8-9 wins a season. Richt has been the same 8-9 win coach since he got to UGA. The difference is the UGA program has outgrown Richt along with the SEC as a whole.

If Richt is fired or resigns or retires, I don't think he returns to coaching. Maybe another ESPN analyst.

Nope, when Richt leaves Athens, he's going the missionary route.

I think Richt will do mission work if he retires. I can not relate to religious people but he seems to have a real conviction for helping people.

never been a hater, but man o man does he do good, with great talent, when he should be doing great, with that talent.

I think he along with Georgia need a fresh start.

He will get to go out on his own terms, but he is going out.

Richt is a good coach, but not a great coach. I always thought he was pretty well liked in Athens by the AD and alum.

It's hard to get rid of a coach when you have 9 and 10 win seasons, ranked in the top 25 in eleven of thirteen years, finished first or second in the division every year but three and is a good guy. That's how you end up getting rid of a Hallman/Solich and end up with a Detzel/Callahan. Trying for decades to recover.

I could deal with him staying another year or two if he would take back over offensive play calling duties . Also he needs to hire a special teams coach.

How funny would it be if this ended up like Nebraska? Can't get over the hump and they make a hire that puts them worse off.

the christain right has kept mark richt around way too long. Glad that others are finally hopping on the fire CMR bandwagon.

If Richt leaves, Miami would be stupid not to call him.

I considered saying he would take the missionary position, but decided against it.

In a time period the guy should be running away with the east he won't end up bringing one back. That is kind of inexcusable.

Sure it'd be a risk to move on from a guy like Richt where you know what you're getting, but now is probably the time to make that move.
