Bad move for UGA. Richt is the ceiling for UGA. If he is fired they will go back to the Donan and Goff days. UGA is having an identify crisis and thinks its Alabama, Florida, and LSU. They are a 2nd tier program at best.

The only supporters of richt recently seemed to be the church going folk that keep telling us how great a guy mark richt is. Now even they have turned lmao. He gone!

And they shouldn't be seeing as how they have the entire state of Georgia to select from in recruiting. Why don't you understand that?

Florida and LSU are not on Alabama's level. The way you people keep equating them together is boggling.

Hopefully UGA can win out and end this talk. We don't need UGA getting a coach that can actually coach up the good talent they have.

Richt has been the same 8-9 win coach since he got to UGA. The difference is the UGA program has outgrown Richt along with the SEC as a whole.
I think you hit the nail on the head here. I think it's just time for some fresh blood and some excitement. UGA with Richt just seems stale. Getting blown out in both big games and going winless against the two rivals you have faced also fuels that.'

Bring on Fuente.

Would be a better fit for Arkansas. Georgia NEEDS Bert. He'd wreck shop there. They should sign him now. Pretty sure we'd negotiate down on his buyout.

If UGA ever wakes up, they will be the terror of the SEC East. I am not sure how much the administration really cares though.

UGA is light years ahead of South Carolina in terms of coaching destinations. It's at Top 10 destination in all of CFB, and only blind homers would argue against that. The resources in the Atlanta recruiting area alone make for a fish-in-a-barrel scenario. The fact that Georgia has a path laid at their feet every year with fertile recruiting and still has nothing to show for it is the nature of the very argument.

Here's the problem. You have the poors comparatively..no IPF...we do...brand new dorm for athletes that look more like apartments than dorms, upgrades at Willy B, we recruit Georgia, NC, SC, PA, NJ, FL...and we're willing to pay $2 mill more per year than what Spurrier was getting....that's $6 mill/year. We've also whipped your arse 4 out of the last 6 games. Past history doesn't matter so much to these kids...they remember recent history more than what happened years ago before they were even crawling...still in diapers...or not even born yet.

Would we be scratching and clawing to get the same coaches? More than likely. Could y'all get him instead of us? Certainly a possibility. But to assume you're better than us in the areas you named....well, you're wrong.

ETA: Oh...and we don't make ppl who can't even swim jump off of a frickin' diving board as "initiation" or whatever the hell y'all refer to it as.
