Alright. So it goes both ways. Don't knock one coach when the other one has the same argument against him. I think I'll wait on Sumlin to see what he can do with his own recruits before calling him to fix a down program.

Having a great defense is key if you want to win any kind of championships. If we hired Boise's OC with Smart, I'd feel very good about our chances in the West in couple of years.

IF we hire a OC. That will help our Offense for a season maybe 2. Then leave for a bigger program. And where are we? We have a good defense but we cant score. Great. Here is to mediocrity

If we can manage to get Boise's OC then I'm sure we could manage to get another good one. Any time you have a good coordinator, you're going to have to worry about them leaving for another job.

Check my post history. I called this after UAB game. He's HAD offer for a while. That's why they keep interviewing. they are getting tired of waiting.

If that OC leaves for another job then that means he was obviously doing something right. Which won't be hard to get another OC to come in where the other OC left off.

I dont understand why I am the only OM poster that is pissed about this hire. I am willing to eat crow if he does well. But I fully expect Smart to fail.

If that happens that we must be doing something right and have the program heading in the right direction and could hand it off to an assistant (Brewer perchance?)
