But look for Faulk to step in on a waiver for Sullivan on the recruiting trail.

You sure about that one cupcake? He certainly went out of his way to make it look like there was going to be an actual OC search. And then on top of that, tried to make it look like he kept his word and hired “the best coordinator in the country” at his presser. I’d say O gives a massive frick about what the fans think and the subsequent heat.

Ed knows exactly what the pulse is by the fans right now. He also know that next year something special better happen or he might not be here for much longer. I know people who work in the Ops building and O can feel the heat from all angles.

Did he forget about what happened to Miles due to the fans?

I cares about fan support. Do NOT think this is not recognized. He has put all in coaches on staff and understands consequences.

He was coaching at Carencro last year, so I don't think he "needed a job."

Hopefully he can tell the juniors what a legend you can become by staying for your senior year.

Never satisfied. Recruiting will shoot through the roof with this hire. Imagine being recruited by one of the best RBs in LSU history.

What experience does KF have in "Player Development?"

Orgeron BBQ Buddy Special here.

Load em up Ed, load em up. The "Friends and Family" plan.

What an atrocious take. Simply horrible. Do your family a favor and kill your motherfricking self.

Yes, that’s bad. Faulk and Orgeron have no connection. They never worked together and Faulk never played for him.

Faulk played 13 years in the NFL. I doubt he needs the money.

Personally, I don't think that's likely. Waivers are only given in special circumstances. I don't think Jerry has any health problems that would slow him down. That being said, it doesn't matter anyway as only 7 coaches can be on the road recruiting at any given time. Raymond, Johnson, Cregg, Robinson, Joseph, McMahon, and the as yet to be hired and announced defensive assistant will be your main area recruiters. Ensminger, Sullivan, and Aranda will have scaled back recruiting duties and will serve more in a closing role.

Director of Player Development is the liaison between the players and other mostly non-athletic departments. It's more of a mentoring role to make sure the student athletes have a balanced life and can become the men they have the potential to be.

Director of Player Personnel -- which is what Austin Thomas technically was -- is for the identification of prospective student-athletes, assist with roster management, and serve as liaison with the NFL personnel departments. We've still got a couple of players personnel guys on staff and I would expect them to make more hires here.

Another potential change would be to name a Director of Recruiting to split the identification and recruiting roles and make them more defined.

And that's before we get to the analysts -- We're still behind on shadow staff numbers compared to the Georgia's, Clemson's, Alabama's, and Ohio State's of the world.

All of the gumbo and etoufee buddies that O is familiar with, and we are still low on analyst numbers? For shame
