Didn't know. There is a chick on a RV site I frequent that uses those things. She'll type three words and have seven of those things. I just figured I was conversing with women.

What he has done recently is not very good at all. Do you deny that simple fact that is easily obtained by visiting the ESPN website?

Herman deserves criticism for the egg UH laid at SMU, but to pretend Navy and Tulsa aren't good football teams is ignorant.

God help us if a coaching decision is made based on a 4-game sample size of box scores from ESPN.

No, losing a game or 2, to teams in your peer group even if they are "less" talented doesn't concern me in the slightest

So coach O losing to Bama, a more talented team, doesn't matter to you either?

Everyone has lost to "lesser" teams. Everyone has won games where they "struggled" even with "lesser" teams (Have you watched LSU over the last decade

Again, for the umpteenth time, losing to a lesser team every once in a while may be common place. Playing like shite four games in a row raises a flag in my eyes.

This is why you are irrational.

Why? Because he lost to the #1 ranked team in the country? But Herman can underperform for a month and it's okay?

quote:

a roster chalk full of NFL talent?

And no offensive line or QB?

making up stupid strawmen does not indicate you know how to analyze.

That you 3 times in THIS POST only mentioned recent events shows you do not know how to analyze this stuff.

So how should I analyze 2 losses in four games to less talented teams? How should I analyze the 303 total offensive yards against SMU for a guy who is considered to be an offensive guru? Am I supposed to say, "wow, they did good"?

You want a guy who loses to lesser talented teams to lead the LSU football program?

I don't think there is someone out there who only loses to more talented teams

so i'll go with the guy who is 20-3 at as HC, beat FSU and OU and is 5-0 vs ranked teams.

No, I go to the ESPN website and look at all the conference scores on Sunday morning. When I see a ranked team like Houston losing to SMU I check the box-score.

So you're uninformed.

Why don't you give me an analysis of the game and what the issues were offensively

Why don't you go to ESPN and check out the boxscore for yourself. One reason is Houston had 303 total yards of offense. 303 yards against a team that just lost 51-7. Analyze that shite. If you find anything good about the loss, let us know.

Tiger Ree, this is the reason you are irrational and cannot analyze:

Every one of these comments is focused on not only short term results but the most recent ones and that AFTER I already told you that was stupid. I said I look at the big picture and don't put emphasis on 1 game, so NO losing to Bama in and of itself doesn't hurt O in my view but in the context of his ENTIRE resume it looks like more of the same.

4 games is 1/3 of 1 season. But because it is the most recent you are making it out like the end all be all. If UH comes out the next 4 and smokes Tulane, upsets Louisville and beats Memphis then pounds someone in a bowl and they finish 11-2, would that change your view of Herman? If so, you are not looking at it rationally.

You ask how you analyze the UH SMU game and sarcastically ask if you so say wow they did good. This proves my point. You know how analyze it? As one game. Sure it was a shitty game, so what? Do you judge Bama D based on giving up 40 and 500 yards to Ole Miss? No. The SMU loss is bad, but it doesn't trump the 20 games he's won including FSU and OU. In Hermans case, lack of experience is an issue, 1 bad loss or 1 specific 4 game stretch is not. That's the difference between analyzing rationally and going on emotions.

One last thing, Besides LSU, what other schools do you reckon would take O over Herman? If LSU hired Fisher you think FSU would take O over Herman? What about Texas? Notre Dame? I think we know the answer. That's more telling than a loss to SMU.
