He was with the basketball team in the Bahamas while the most important/expensive/long term consequences, hire on campus was being made.

If this is true then he should be fired for incompetence. This is a multi-million dollar athletic program and he and Alleva don't appear to grasp this

LSU's president should be top 10%; better than that, actually (in La alone, there are >10 public universities, so obviously he'd be well into top 10%).

He's awful, under his watch the whole damn school has become a damn circus. They want to gripe about academic fundraising, but it's a fricking joke. They have 5 different organizations going around looking for money instead of one or two entities. Even the individual colleges can't get their shite together, as that shite often comes off as an unorganized mess.

What's interesting to me is FKA and Alleva inherited TAF. They think this is just how it works and have no clue LSU was Joe Dean'd for over a decade.
Seats filled, TAF dons, extra dons, etc. It's like a child that opens a cookie jar and it's filled. And he keeps going into that cookie jar expecting it to be filled. Simply no clue that the cookie jar can empty.
Alleva can go DIAF. No talent, no nothing, hack. It's LSU that has lost having him as AD. It's not a win-win, it's an LSU loss-Alleva gain.

When the government starting giving student loans to anyone who asked with no limits the pay of all Presidents and Faculty skyrocketed as did the cost of a college education. What a scam with the debt on the backs of students.
