It doesn’t though.
1. Doesn’t sign extension = doesn’t coach
2. Signs with LSU = doesn’t coach
If your logic is he will want to coach the (potential) SEC Championship game, then why is he willing to walk away from his playoff berth? Doesn’t compute.

The current leadership at bama would never hire kiffin under any circumstance ever.
He burned too many bridges by sleeping with recruits moms, blowing up the school credit card, completely losing focus when he got the job in Florida
