What will Texas' excuse be when Briles turns them down? I'm almost at a BINGO on my "tsip coaching search excuses" BINGO card.

It would be a big mistake hiring an offense first coach when your program is already playing a soft style.

He has done a great job at Baylor, but that wide open offense will not get him a national championship. I do not see him leaving.

They would never win another bowl game with him at the helm.

I'm reporting that I would accept UT's offer.

This is news? It sounds like high school. "Jennifer reports that Christy would accept Mike's offer to prom if Mike likes Christy."

Well it does fit UT's approach to how they pick a coach

You almost have to feel sorry for Texas. They've been rejected by just about everyone thus far. Harbaugh, lil Nicky, etc etc. They'll have a big problem on their hands if Briles and Strong decline as well.

Has there even been a credible report yet? People are slinging shite at the wall and the "candidates" mentioned are taking advantage of it to get pay raises. I honestly have no fricking clue who we're even looking at but I'll bet anything that we probably aren't even considering half of the people mentioned and that someone who is completely off the radar will be at least interviewed.

The longhorn network contractually obligates ESPN to promote the football program and put them in the most positive light possible. Now that has resulted in HS type of gossip/PR.
How the mighty have fallen.

I wonder if Texas realizes how much people are laughing at them for the way this is being handled

UT is actually doing just fine with this. It was firing Mack that was the big shite show.
