Remember the bad press LSU got a year ago when ESPN worked to disintegrate public opinion of LSU so badly that F King and Booby Jindal stepped in and put a clamp on things?

They're at it again tonight. Mark May's ignorant rant during halftime, Palmer advocating for O during the 2nd half and in the post game between Mayne and Palmer "...I agree 1,000% Kenny. Coach O should get very serious consideration for this job."

And nobody is condemning Texas for openly wanting to talk to Herman before even firing Strong.

ESPN has a heavy liberal bias & cajuns are considered a minority hire.

Love coach o hope he is back in some capacity

If it was a SEC school that was interviewing a white coach while they still employed a black coach, who was having a winning season during his first year, the media would be skewering the SEC school.

Bama was roasted for not hiring Croom over Shula.

If the roles were reversed in the current scenario I wholeheartedly agree that LSU would be getting roasted.

Not a peep about UT still having Strong in their employ.

People whined that Greg McIlroy suggested that O should not get the job during the Arkansas game, and now people are upset that Jesse Palmer thinks O should get consideration for the job. Is Palmer wrong that O should be considered? It's these guys' jobs to talk and express opinions. Palmer also said Herman would be a great fit at LSU. Now Mark May on the other hand was unfair to Alleva. If Alleva thinks he has his guy, he has to lock him down regardless of whether the season is over. Allegiance to the program should trump the courtesy of waiting until the end of the season to make a move.

Screw what they think

The MSM doesn't even care about facts

And they still couldn't push their agenda in the election

Nor this

Currently at the inlaws out of town. Wife doesn't follow TD and she just came up to me fuming about ESPN and basically said everything in this thread.

I fricking hate ESPN. I've really enjoyed not watching game day or final this season.

And I love women that get football!

At least Palmer said it's a lot of speculation. Not so bad for him to say Coach O deserves serious consideration. LSU has given him serious consideration.

Remember, ESPN also reported that Miles was leaving LSU for Michigan, and that Strong had already been fired.

ESPN has lost 10 million subscribers in the last 3 yrs. I suggest you join the revolution and stop watching.

So it was ok for them to break the story at the beginning of the game using a longhorn website as a source? And then backtrack but still talk about it the whole game?

It was ok for mark may to call out alleva for trying to find the best coach and again using a longhorn website as a source. And not mention that they still have a coach and how dare they not call out Texas for flirting with herman while they still have a coach?

Talk about double standards. No actually it's about the longhorn network

Makes me wish for a diarrhea emoticon because ESPN, in my opinion, hates us and that gives me the shits. Anything for a story. As others have said, I think they troll the boards for info and if it's a hot topic, they run with it. I mean, really, what's-her-name climbed "all the way up" to Alleva's suite tonight to be told "No comment" and they acted surprised? Sensationalism at its finest.
