I didn't think they were "dominant" at any point last season like in years past.

their last three games were pretty bad... people forget the MSU game, but bama looked like crap for the entire game.

so, Saban isn't a good DB coach?

How is it panicking when we change at least 3 coaches every offseason?

How does that reflect poorly on Smart? This would be the exact defensive staff from 2007 and 2008.

These are good moves by Saban. Hes gotten rid of a lot of the negativity surrounding the ending of the season and instead has the fanbase talking about the changes and it sure gives the perception that Saban is working tirelessly to improve what was already good. Hes kept his core-him and Kirby-added maybe the best D line coach in the country and a QB developer.

Dude's a beast. Of course, I hope this fails miserably. 0-13 in 2014?

I know right. I posted a discussion on the SEC rant about it and all the Bama fans had to reply to it.

So, Saban coaches DBs and he moved Smart back to DBs and brought in a LB coach. This seems more like an indictment of Smart's ability to coach LB than Brown as a DB coach.

Steele couldn't coach Patrick Willis into a decent LB. He's so horrible.

He's a helluva recruiter, though.

changing the whole staff is saban's way of taking a new job and trying to reinvigorate himself.

Or a way of implicating everyone else but himself.

so bama wants to have its hc and dc coach dbs. the dbs much really, really suck to put the best 2 coaches on the team to coach them.
