One bit of misinformation in that Grok summary is the Zach Calzada at IW bit. Calzada was at A&M in 2021 (was the QB in that Bama upset) and didn't get to IW until 2023, well after Morris left.

Cam Ward was Morris's QB at Incarnate Word in 2021 when they won the SLC outright and made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs, and Ward followed him to Wazzu in 2022, he didn't find him as a Juco transfer at Wazzu like Grok suggests. Morris then took the North Texas job and Ward went to Miami.

He’s an air raid coach.

We need dat Joe Brady offense. RPO kind of coach.

He runs an air raid, RPO hybrid:
Core principles
-Balanced attack: While rooted in the Air Raid, Morris's offense is more balanced than traditional versions, featuring a physical and diverse running game alongside the passing attack.
-Modern Air Raid: The scheme includes NFL pass concepts and RPOs, adapting the traditional Air Raid to be more complete and less predictable.
-Speed and tempo: The offense often utilizes a fast-paced, no-huddle tempo, though they have the ability to "slow it down" to control the clock.
-Quarterback-friendly: The system is designed to give the quarterback multiple answers and outlets, and leverage their strengths, such as the ability to throw on the run.

Hes probably who they need to bring in. I don't know how realistic lane is, and you would get this guy without dropping 100 mil again.

Not gonna lie I like the potential because of his offensive track record. Wouldn’t mind him at all.

I think we can do worse, much worse. Id be ok with taking a chance on someone like him if we miss on our top 2-3 targets.

I would be 2 million percent in favor of Eric Morris. We would NEVER worry about QB play again. I followed him and his offensive staff over the last month. Him and his offensive staff are responsible for Patrick Mahomes, Cam Ward, Lindsey Scott Jr, Chandler Morris, TJ Finley (at Texas St), and a redshirt freshman this year named Mestemaker, who didn't even start on his high school team.

He also runs the ball. When he was at Tech, he had a 1500 yard rusher, the first time they had a 1000+ yard rusher in over 10 years. That kid had back to back 1100+ rushing seasons.

After hearing some buzz on this coach I decided to do a deep dive to scout him as a potential coach for LSU next year. After doing so I can confidently endorse him for the job.

Did you go down on him? It's the only way to be sure.

North Texas is

#1 in CFB in Red Zone Scores per Game (TDs and FGs).

#11 in CFB in Team Red Zone Scoring Percentage (TDs and FGs).

#1 in CFB in Offensive Touchdowns per Game.

#2 in CFB in Team Points per Play.

#1 in CFB in Team Points per Game.

Although they are #8 in CFB Average Scoring Margin, defense is their problem. They scored 36 in their only loss of the year to USF but gave up 63.

Will he try his best, not let his side piece’s kids run around practice and not be trapped in an offensive scheme from 1991? If the answer is yes to all three questions we could be in business

Well, good for him for finding success after having a child in high school.
