Ed just bet his and Alleva’s jobs that they go 10-2 or better this year

That’s a bit of a stretch. I think 7-5.
Should be enough to get them both fired.

You do know the same people responsible for approving the hire of Ogeron and Alleva would be the same people who make the decisions on their future at LSU, right? Do you think those people are going to be willing to admit their mistake after only 2 years?

Hell, Johnny Jones was given the opportunity to complete burn down the basketball program after crapped all over himself with the Simmons team and it was evident he wasn't a championship level coach.

Johnny jones is a poor example because LSU is known as s football school and that’s your biggest money maker

They can afford to let the basketball program fall further than they can afford to let the football program fall.

Well considering they know more football than anyone on TD I'm sure they do...

They won't get fired next year. It would take 0-8 in the SEC for it possibly to happen. Our administration is really bad right now and don't care about winning titles, they only care about winning enough to still bring in money.

Let’s see how long they last when they have an half empty stadium .

In 2007 O's Ole Miss went winless in conference, so that is always a possibility.

I disagree. Usually I’d say you’re correct but usually P5 schools don’t make themselves a complete laughingstock. Even UTk ended up with a decent coach after their dumpster fire search. One single coach search got UT’s AD fired. ONE. Alleva and O got this year, and they predictably shite the bed. If they do again next year, another faction of the BOS/boosters will seize control just like at TN.

That won't get them fired. It's going to be a young team next year. There's no proven quarterback, running back or wide receiver. Barring total catastrophe in '18, 2019 will be Orgeron's make or break year. In 2019 he has to land a great recruiting class and follow it up with a 10 win season.

Wrong. Those aren’t valid excuses. This year was their mulligan, and they failed.

Moreover, they made LSU a laughingstock by hiring Ed, who is now hiring his BBQ buddies.

Look at UTk. Fired their AD over a single coaching search. ONE. Nothing more.

7-5 gets them fired.

He will get 3 seasons minimum. Alleva will never fire him. It’s suicide for him. LSU would need to be embarrassingly bad (which they won’t be with our talent and defense). 8 wins will keep him here for all 5 years. This was never a temporary placeholder coach we could get rid of after a year or two like some people believe. We are stuck with him.
