Don't believe a thing you hear about Jimbo

Tom Herman will be the next coach at LSU, the reason we're floating Jimbo is because Sexton told us only way we're getting Herman is if we get Jimbo a raise. Tom Herman to LSU. Jimbo gets a raise at FSU, and Texas sucks.
No sauces, just personal opinion.
Biggest factor, out of Jimbo and Herman, LSU would be a major upgrade for only one of these hires. LSU would be considered a lateral move or maybe even a slight upgrade but the motivation would be much higher for Herman.

Alleva said he wants a coach who can develop the culture of excellence on and off the field. Jimbo is good but not excellent on the filed and he is not even good off the field. This alone points to someone else not to mention most LSU fans don't want Jimbo.

Most of these Jimbo rumors are being spawned by mid-tier TAF members and people are eating it up. It's a replay of last year all over again. The people with real influence over this situation were not willing to fight the political situation and Jimbo was under too much pressure from FSU to deal with uncertainty. The situation is different this time around but nothing has progressed as much as some people here claim.

What better way to unofficially make a deal with a coach? Gives Herman plausible deniability to say LSU has not reached out to him or his agent without lying.

One thing I do know about UT- they are a real clusterfrick- they have no idea what to even do about Strong...much less look for a new coach...
