If He's smart he'll stand on the sidelines and let his coordinators do their jobs.

Everything he's done up to this point would say no.

He may have his own secret playbook like Miles did but I don't think any HC would give free reign to the OC without giving inputs.

I don't necessarily think so.

However, the audition is over now, so all bets are off. This is O's program now. Que sera, sera.

His only input should be whether to let the OC keep his foot on the gas if LSU is up 30-40. Other than that I haven't seen anything to this point to make me believe he would have any more input in the offense. He did get angry on some our the offensive time management gaffes so throw that part in.

The only thing he better do during the game is clap and slap butts

Might have some 4th down plays in the binder.

I need to see what the binder looked like. I wonder if we'll ever know what color the binder is?

To the OP: Most head coaches give "guidance" -- they ask the OC to tailor their calls to specific strategy. I.e. run it more in late game situations nursing a lead, open it up when trailing, etc.

As long as O isn't giving specific play calls in game, I'm fine with the HC guiding the game.

I'm more curious as to what he will do.... We just hired a guy in name only to be the coach. Maybe that is what Alleva wanted, a yes man that he can boss around.

He just stands there and gets everyone pumped up. LSU just hired Farmer Fran.
