Very true.

I don't think he will come here in an OC capacity, would love to have him.

BUT....just talking shite.....like you said, he doesn't have to do much to look good. He knows it, Saban knows it, the college football world knows it. What if there was a spark of interest that keeps gnawing at him. Yes it's a lateral move, but he gets the keys to the Ferrari that for several years has never been allowed to go faster than 3rd gear.

Maybe he gets the freedom to completely build his offense and see what he could do with another set of freakishly good athletes who've been able to use 60-70% of their talent.

Fun to think about but I don't see it.

Same. I think if he was further away from becoming an HC again then maybe, but he won't make any moves which could potentially set him up to fail or look worse to any potential colleges.

Yeah I just think the OC job is a means to an end for him. He wants to get that HC job badly. Coming to LSU just delays that.

Would not be surprised if he is named HC in waiting. Saban will retire soon if he picks up another Natty or two the next few years.

That's one way to look at it, but living under Saban's shadow, albeit a very short one, he may never get fully recognized as a great OC. It's always "Yeah but Saban

Complete and utter bullshite.

The last two coordinators that left saban are now the HCs at Florida and Georgia. Two PREMIER schools.

I'd say they got plenty of credit for bamas success.

You guys are delusional.

He's not coming to LSU to be our OC.

This is foolish.

Why is this foolish? You think he likes getting berated on the sideline every week? He and Oeaux are super close. If offered, he would 100% take the job.

Geez man. If you read my post it's pretty obvious it was more of a joke. You need to get over yourself and stop being such a douche.

I don't think the likelihood of Kiffin coming to be Coach O's OC is very high, for many of the reasons stated above, but I do think if Coach O doesn't get the head coaching job at LSU it's highly likely he goes wherever Kiffin (as head coach) goes...

LSU interim coach Ed Orgeron worked under Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin at both USC and Tennessee and makes no secret of his respect and affection for his former boss. But he said Tuesday that their typical contact is cut off until after their teams meet on Nov. 5. "I talk to him two or three times a week. But we're going to take a hiatus these next two weeks," Orgeron laughed. "Now I know he's going to want to talk to me, but I ain't answering back man. I know how he is."

This thread is a goldmine.

You idiots really think Kiffin would leave Bama for the same job at a lesser school?

He will be a HC in the next two years, pump the brakes retards.

Why do people think this is a thing?

Do you people really not know what all went down in Tennessee? He is the worst candidate mentioned anywhere by anybody. Hell, hiring Miles back would be better

To go coach with one of his best friends and probably have more freedom and less public shaming? Yes.

Well it likely isn't making a difference with Herman and his buddy Aranda since there are indications he's all but signed on to Texas.

He's not going to LSU to be Orgeron's assistant. Kiffin's next stop will be as a HC.

This has to be an act, right? You can't be this delusional.
