I mean to be fair it takes time to rebuild the clusterfrick Cutcliffe left Ole Miss in. They had zero talent when he got there.

Honestly, that goes to show you that Coach O brought in the talent to turn the program around. This info isn't making the argument I think you meant it to.

Yes, he did. But O could not coach them to any better than a 0-8 SEC record in his last season there.
Translation: Not good enough for LSU. O made coaching mistakes at the end of the first half against Ole Miss and Bama plus more clock management derps in the third quarter against the Tide. Then came the Senior Day debacle against an inferior, banged-up opponent. Sorry. Pass.

Take a look at UA's record after him when the fan favorite Mike Dubose was hired after a "fax campaign" and then Dubose was in over his head and let boosters and assistant coaches run wild and brought the wrath of the NCAA to town.
It took til Saban was hired to get the program back on the rails.
I've said it 100x, Ed O is the Cajun Mike Dubose.
Oh and Dubose was a very good asst and DL line coach too.
