the football ignorant are grasping for straws. right. we should never have to settle for a type like him especially in the position we are in now.

You never even heard of Dillingham before last week because you don’t know ball. Grow up.

Arkansas can hire him, that’s about where his interest should be, not even sure they’d be interested.
A lot of you do not know ball.

Dillingham is not a Saban understudy, do you recognize the difference?

I dont get it either. I dont want some rah rah Coach O 2.0. If he comes I'll hope for the best but he would be a very disappointing hire

Oh I get it now. In your world, you either need someone who makes 10mm and competes for national championships at his current school or someone who worked for Saban. Nothing else. Got it. Makes sense. You should be AD

oh you mean the coach who took over a 3-9 dumpster fricking fire from Herm Edwards...same Arizona state that was being investigated when he took over, had a bowl ban his first season, reduced scholarships etc.....yet same coach had them in the playoffs in this second season and will finish 9-3 this year.

same coach that went and found some white running back from Sac State that nobody really wanted...yea he turned out to be pretty good, same coach who took the back up QB who wasnt even allowed to attempt 25 passes...yea he turned out to be pretty good.

same coach who has Jeff fricking Sims playing at an all conference level...yea the same Jeff Sims that got ran off at Gtech because he couldnt throw for 1500 yards in a whole damn season.

same coach that had bo nix as rookie of the year when he was OC at auburn where he averaged 32 points per game, helped them get a 9-3 record and their highest recruiting class of Gus's tenure

same coach who had memphis as a top 5 OC in his two years as OC there

same coach who in his 1 season at oregon as OC...got the same bo nix that was ran out of auburn after sucking since dilingham left....to become 3rd in the heisman voting?

same coach who has been extremely successful in both recruiting and on offense and with QBs at all his stops but specifically memphis, auburn, florida state all in the south. then killed it at oregon and has killed it at Arizona state

and before people say he isnt leaving

the guy is having to beg local businesses for NIL support and I mean beg

anyone that doesn't think he is a superstar in the making can frick off

lets see

1) young- only 35
2) elite on 1 side- yep elite OC everywhere
3) elite qb coach- made Bo nix
4) successful coord. stints in P4- yep at auburn, Florida state, Oregon
5) successful HC- yep killing it
6) affordable- yep, only makes total comp of 7.5

He’s currently unranked with a loss to Mississippi state… this talk needs to stop. Hopefully there are adults in charge. He’s not ready for a job of this caliber.

Some of you really lack basic intelligence required she passed the tip of your nose. You are enamored by optics and can't get past the cover of the book

It would be a massively underwhelming hire. One playoff appearance in the washed out little 12, and an unranked current team does not qualify you for the job at LSU.

He’s winning games with Jeff Sims as his qb. That alone should qualify him

He is young & very successful offensive mind.

His team isn’t as good as they were last year, yet he still beat current #6 Texas Tech earlier this year

exactly, he is going to finish 9-3 in a rebuild year where he lost his star QB after week 7

Agreed. Dilly has had literally 1 good season as a head coach, in only 3 years. He's not ready for the SEC.

This board is infatuated with Alex Golesh who hasn’t even had a full good season as an fbs coach.

Is that how low our bar currently is that we are impressed with a big 12 team that auto qualified by winning a terrible conference? He’s currently unranked with a loss to Mississippi state… this talk needs to stop. Hopefully there are adults in charge. He’s not ready for a job of this caliber.

If yall keep poking holes in candidates you’re going to be left with absolutely nobody. No candidate is perfect and everyone has blemishes on their resumes

In the little 12.
He couldn’t beat an awful Mississippi state team with his starter.

Take the jaded glasses off, he’s not ready.
