Then hours later O is named HC?

I would go from ecstatic to a sense of nervousness for the rest of the season...

More than half the people on here will go from being miserable over LSU winning to total despair.

I'm in the Want O camp. But I believe LSU is a program that should go through the process after the season. It's been a long time and we are a premier spot here. We should interview people.

We haven't seen a drop in recruiting so the need to do it now is just not there. Ed wouldn't bail for another job until we said no. I just don't see the value it doing it after this game. Also don't believe his job should hinge on a win or loss tomorrow. Not fair to anyone.

I'll be elated that LSU finally has a coach who can beat Bama

Despite what people say about the coaching search, I think it's impossible for them to actually root for Alabama in this game. I'll worry about the coaching search next week. Tomorrow, I'm all in with whoever's on the sideline.

This board would be entertaining as hell to read.

I think you are giving your fellow "message board LSU fans" more credit than they deserve. In one of Random Hero's threads earlier this week it was said many times - Geaux Bama, RTR, etc. I made it to the top of the second page and was so disgusted I couldn't continue.

Apparently, it continued because the sickening behavior was brought up in a few threads on the Tiger Rant and no telling how many times on the SEC Rant the next day.

There will definitely be LSU fans cheering on the Tide tonight against LSU. Just so LSU can hire "their" guy as HC. Pitiful, but it is what it is.

For once I'm going to allow myself instant gratification tonight if we win. Probably not in the best long term interest of the program if we hire Eaux, but screw it.

I'm really not going to get very high or very low no matter the outcome. I don't think O is the right coach but I would enjoy seeing LSU beat Alabama. On the other hand, with a loss at least some of the nonsense would come down to earth, so it won't be as uniformly negative as it was the last couple times in BR when LSU choked away a win.

Well, I'm not. I could never root against LSU in any situation. Let the coaching chips fall where they may.

"Never compromise. Not even in the face of Armageddon"

I still think when it comes down to it, when the game gets going, the other fans will come around as well.

Wow, thanks for the honesty. If I could feel like you I would probably just switch my fandom to another team. If you have no emotional attachment no matter the outcome, will you even watch the game or are you going to the movies?

I will never root for LSU to lose, regardless of the circumstances.

To be honest, I'm not in favor of CEO, but if he beats Bama tonight, he'll be making a hell of an argument.

That is why I hope and pray our AD and hiring bunch have level heads and don't make a decision based on emotion.
