Is he a good recruiter? DCs and OCs who are excellent recruiter and players relate to them will be successful. Look at all DCs and OCs under Saban who became head coaches. They benefited from Saban recruiting greatly (specially DL and OL recruits) and they looked great. Their success as head coaches mainly correlates to their level of success in recruiting
