So very glad he didn't. I think he's under performed the expectations. Still time, but there's nothing in his history that suggests to me that he can develop a program that consistently competes for championships. Good coach who will get you the opportunity to play for a natty when all the stars align but you're not going to be in the conversation each year. Puts a competitive team on the field, but I don't think anyone at A&M is thrilled with a 34-14 record. Good, not great.

Gotta admit I did not see the Kelly hire coming. I thought the few posters mentioning him as a serious candidate were engaging in wishful thinking. But from the beginning I never bought into the Riley and even Jimbo noise. Also was never sold on the Aranda and Lane noise. I was not a big fan of Rhule coming, but on a certain level I did not think Rhule improbable
However, this hire went along the normal process in terms of who Woodward was really zoning in on....how most hires go, really. You think Riley...but it was probably never Riley
